What we think is what we attract.
If we think everyone in the world is untrustworthy, then we’ll attract untrustworthy people. If we think good things only happen to “those other special people”, then good things will never happen to us. What we think about is where we put our time and focus, it’s who we become. This is the law of attraction.
Begin to change your frame of mind by doing esteemable acts and giving yourself positive affirmations.
Esteemable acts are things that build your sense of self. You show up on time. You finish what you started. You give to others. You do the right thing when nobody else is around (and equally important here…you don’t then tell others about your great deed. Just keep it to yourself).
I’ve discussed in a previous post how to replace negative thoughts with positive ones. Now, try beginning your day by saying 10 positive things about yourself and your life. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it works! Our subconscious brain is like a muscle, it needs to be worked out properly. If you can change the way you think, you can change the way you feel. Change the way you feel, and you’ll change the way you perform and the life you attract.
Listen, markets work. Companies, organizations, friends, and life in general, compete for resources. If you are good, you bring positive value to others (and this comes in many forms! You don’t need to have an MBA), the market of life will take care of you and you’ll find your proper place and people. It’s easy to point out the jerk who seems to have it all, but he’s an anomaly. Good people succeed, it’s simple. People like to work with or for people they like and trust. Plus, the jerk is probably rich but miserable🤔.
Write down 10 positive affirmations about yourself and life and 10 gratitudes. Positive things about what you want in life. Read them out loud each morning this week, let your mind and ears hear them.
The gratitudes are all the things you’re thankful for today – family, the weather, The Rolling Stones, your sense of humor, etc. I don’t care who you are…you’ll see you have so much to be thankful for!
Read these each morning and be kind to all…you’ll feel drastic changes by next Sunday.
